Adventurous artists see our world on entirely different terms. They see potential for the simple things we have at our fingertips every day.  Check out what this animator has done with office supplies!

“A Girl Named Elastika”

Pretty cool, huh?
Let’s follow this up with a guy who has a fairly fun day job in Portland OR, but it is his lifestyle adventure that has me intrigued.

By the way, Ladies, the Hellgate Rollergirls in Missoula have a high school league. You can sign up to be on the “FM One” team.
“FM” stands for “Fresh Meat”. You train hard to make it into the “FM TWO” team and then you move up to the adult league. Then it’s pretty much a lifestyle adventure and not a hobby!

Counseling Office News:

Work study students must have:
-proof of a job,
-proof that your employer has workman’s comp insurance,
-proof the vehicle you travel in has car insurance,
paperwork must be in by Thursday to take the course this spring. You can volunteer at a job site for the credit, but not be in the class if you don’t have a supervisor.

The ASVAB test is on Wednesday, Feb. 1. All students who signed up will report to 1st period for attendance and then go to Room B and not go to ethos because the test takes most of the morning.
8th graders will all take the NAEP test in Room B at 9:00 am on Thursday, Feb. 2.

Chinese New Year has already begun.
2017 is the Year of the Fire Rooster.
Those of you born in the year 2005 are “roosters”, too. Each year of a twelve-year cycle is affiliated with an animal. It is believed that you are a bit like the animal affiliated with the year of your birth and share both positive and negative personality traits with all the people born the same year as you. Check out this short video. Gung hay fat choy! (Happy New Year)!

Leading an adventuresome life is a gift you give to yourself. Sometimes it takes a little extra something to make your adventure worthy!
Check out this adventurer:

"I just want to cross the finish line every time I go," Kelley said after the race, in comments relayed by the U.S. Ski Team. "I basically always hike. It's something I've always done. My parents told me to never give up, so I wanted to cross that finish line."
-Robby Kelley

Adventurers actually love risk and difficulty. The following story is a remembrance of a person who inspired women to dream of having professional careers during a time of social change.

Niente senza gioia!
