High School Student Council will be meeting at 12:00 on Monday, Dec. 16 to weigh food for the food drive. Let Mrs. Martin know if you can't miss part of 4th period. We will be meeting in the Counseling Office.

All BPA tests must be completed on or before Wednesday!

The middle school boys finished up their basketball season with a pair of wins against Darby.  We are proud of them for their perseverance, hard work, and great effort!  Way to go Coach Gulman and Coach Hochhalter!!!

This gentlemen's name is Nelson Mandela.  He passed away last Thursday at the age of 95.  He is famous because he fought for blacks to have equal rights as whites in his country of S. Africa.  Because he thought blacks and whites should live as equals, he was sentenced to a lifetime in prison.  In prison, he was only allowed one visitor per year.  He was allowed to write one letter every six months.  For 18 years he was in prison on Robben Island where he was forced to break rocks everyday.   He did a lot to help all of the people of S. Africa.

We're having a heat wave!!!!    The highs today will be in the 30's, possibly breaking 32.  This is 30-40 degrees warmer than what we had just a few days ago.  Folks, when it gets hot like this remember to drink lots of water, stay inside or in the shade, and always, always, carry sunscreen.  And shades--

Nelson Mandela passed away last week.  Future generations will know who he was and you probably should, too.  Anyone who spends 27 years in prison and then is elected President has to be interesting.
