Have a great finish! Its finish strong Thursday

Nothing is more important in a race, a game or anything you do than the finish.  Too many times the great efforts in the middle are erased by relaxing at the finish.  Thursdays are the end of our week.  Make it a great finish!

Quote: “No one has a problem with the first mile of a journey. Even an infant could do fine for a while. But it isn't the start that matters. It's the finish line.”

Quote of the Day:

Recognitions:

We will be recognizing students that follow the Pirate Code each week.

We watched some interesting penguin videos last year.  This one helps us see which penguin is following the Pirate Code and which one is not.

Next one is a boy who is following the Pirate Code!  He is showing great respect and responsibility.

Friendly Reminder-Please don't put trash in empty lockers, we assign these lockers to new students and it makes for a bad first impression. :)

Are you are interested in being in the reACT group this year? This group meets to bring awareness to the problems associated with tobacco and the corporations that promote the use of tobacco. Applications are available in the counseling office.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It is all part of the game.  That is why we play, to take a chance, to match wits with the other.  Sometimes the score does not reflect the true battle that is fought.
The boys fought hard and did not come out on top as fate would have it, but have pride in knowing that they held Charlo to a minus 3 yards in the second half.

How long has it been that our volleyball team has taken anyone to 5 games much less Valley.  Our girls are getting better each with each game.

Good Morning Pirates

Quote of the Day:

To be ignorant of of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child. For what is the worth of human life, unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history?

                       -Marcus Tullius Cicero,

                       Roman Statesman and Orator

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, the attack on the Pentagon and the failed attack by United Airlines Flight 93. This plane was brought down by passengers who realized the intent when terrorists gained control. The destination is believed to have been either the White House or the Capital Building.

In remembrance, we often talk about various singular incidents and  replay videos of some of the heroes of that day, "The Man in the Red Bandana," "The Heroes of Flight 93," etc. Sometimes, we forget the actual event itself. Today, we'll watch a video detailing that day, as New York, and the world, saw it unfold.

Where were you when it happened?
