On Tuesday we talked about sexual harassment, we now have someone who’d like to share a story with you all…
If you’re interested in standing up against sexual harassment and violence there is an event in Hamilton called Take Back the Night next Wednesday:
The Eleventh Annual Take Back the Night will be held on Wednesday, April 20 to raise awareness about the issue of sexual violence in our community, and promote healthy, safe relationships.
Take Back the Night will begin at Hamilton’s Legion Park on Second Street at 7pm. From there, participants will walk to the Main Street Bridge and Bitterroot River for a short tribute to survivors, inspiration and refreshments.
Now on to sexism, and if it impacts men...
One thing to remember about feminism, it is not about bringing one group down, it is about bringing everybody up.
MINES (Making Innovations in Engineering and Sciences) – Summer Camp for Young Women will take place on the Montana Tech campus June 19th – 24th. MINES is for current freshman and sophomore girls who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. If you saw last year’s school tour of Art Mobile of Montana, you’ll remember Mrs. Ogden had a paper collage in the show. Now she is a featured artist at the Artists’ Shop for the month of April. Her new series is about being outdoors and taking a close look at land and the sky. Here are a few pieces...all made up of snippets of art paper. This is called Up-cycle Art.
