This week’s theme is heroes brought to you by Senior Writing Coolness




The seniors learned about firefighter, Ed Pulaski, before taking the Hiawatha bike trip through the Great Burn area of 1910. Pulaski put his men in a cave and covered the entrance with wet blankets and waited for the fire to pass. Their survival depended on his heroic efforts. He is also why the firefighting tool (half pick, half axe) is named a pulaski.
