Today’s ethos is proudly brought to you by the Victor Chapter of the National Honor Society.
Good Morning, Pirates!
Welcome to Water Wednesday,
December 7, 2016!
This week’s theme: Leadership & Responsibility
From Rowen & Jesse
National Honor Society is a member of the Character Counts! Coalition. Through this activity, the society supports and recommends the use of a multi-faceted definition of character known as the “Six Pillars of Character.” A person of character demonstrates the following six qualities: respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Schools are encouraged to take this model, modify it to meet their local needs, and utilize it frequently in the work of their chapter.
In addition, it can also be said that the student of character:
· Takes criticism willingly and accepts recommendations graciously
· Consistently exemplifies desirable qualities of behavior (cheerfulness, friendliness, poise, stability)
· Upholds principles of morality and ethics
· Cooperates by complying with school regulations concerning property, programs, office, halls, etc.
· Demonstrates the highest standards of honesty and reliability
· Regularly shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others
· Observes instructions and rules, is punctual, and faithful both inside and outside the classroom
· Has powers of concentration, self-discipline, and sustained attention as shown by perseverance and application to studies
· Manifests truthfulness in acknowledging obedience to rules, avoiding cheating in written work, and showing unwillingness to profit by the mistakes of others
· Actively helps rid the school of bad influences or environment.

High five, Pirates!
Check out this new STUDENTS REBUILD campaign to help students in poverty accomplish their personal goals.
Stop by Mrs. Ogden’s room before or after school to make a “hand” to mail in to Students Rebuild, or see if your other teachers would be willing to support your efforts towards offering others a HELPING HAND! Our school team is already registered under “PIRATES!”
Food Drive!!!
Bring in food to your class advisor, let’s see which class can bring in the most food, there will be a very exciting reward for whichever class wins!!!
I just talked to the people who head up the food pantry and they are so incredibly excited and grateful. This goes to people who need help in our community!
The deadline to bring in the food is:
Monday morning, December 19th!
Our stage is currently being used by Ballet Bitterroot for their winter production "The Toy Shop" Please be respectful of all the materials that may be here in the MSR, or possibly in the band room. During the run of their show this week, the stage is off limits, it is filled with props, costumes, and a very expensive dance floor. Thank you for showing your Pirate Pride by observing the 3 R's.
Other Announcements???????????
