Art News:
The 5th grade had a special Art class at the Missoula Art Museum. Their mixed-media art prints were inspired by the art show featuring Juane Quick to See Smith, a nationally known Native American artist.
Smith is from Montana and is known for her modern and expressive paintings and prints which include newspaper clippings, animal symbols and ancient cave drawings. Here is Renee from the Museum, greeting students before breaking into groups to tour the galleries with volunteer docents.
Chris discusses the work of a young Native American artist who works with heavy wool and freshwater pearls.

The Missoula Art Museum is a very modern space with multiple levels, interesting skylights and thick glass partitions. It’s a great setting for modern art!

A friendly reminder for those who asked Mrs. Ogden for information about the Missoulian Martin Luther King art and writing contest. Your deadline is this Thursday!

They really, really do help our school!!!!
