AND
Be Kind!!!!!!!

Tuesday
4/3/18
This week’s theme:
Belonging

Relationship -- What does it mean?
The connection or tie you have to another person, such as a
friend or family member.

Friendship -- What does it mean?
Friendship is a type of relationship between two people who
care about each other.

When you’re a good friend, you care about your friend.
You treat him or her kindly, and with respect. You're fair and
honest with your friend. You don’t say mean things behind
your friend’s back. You do your best to get along, and when
you disagree, you try to solve your problem together. If your
friend does something that hurts you, you talk about it
together. Remember that the best way to make and keep
friends is by being a good friend yourself.

6 Tips for making and keeping friends
  1. Be accepting. Enjoy your friends for who they are.
  2. Be a good listener.
  3. Develop interest in others instead of talking only
  4. about yourself.
  5. Be honest
  6. When there’s work to be done, do your share
  7. Reach out to get to know new people. Don’t always
  8. wait for someone else to take this first step.

7 Building Blocks for Strong Friendships
Find out all you can about each other. Be friendly, fair, and
forgiving.
Respect each other and act responsibly. Remember birthdays.
Read together.
Include others. Share your interests. Imagine together.
Explore and enjoy things together.
Need each other. Be nice. Never lie or be unkind.
Depend on each other. Dare to dream and develop your
interests together.
Share yourself, your family, and your friends with other people.
Sing together. Smile.

You have a chance to make new friends every day. And you have a
chance to build your relationships with the friends you already have.
Once of the best ways to build friendships is by having fun together.

Kindergarten: Why couldn't the pirate play cards?
Because he was sitting on the deck!

We enjoyed the play and workshop this morning.  Our favorite character was
Caliban. He told us he can move like he does on stage because he runs and
lifts weights. He is one cool monster!
