Counseling Office News:  Boys State Applications are here. If you are a Junior who would like to attend Boys State, June 4th-June 9th, come pick up info in the counseling office. We have sponsorship paid for 2 candidates. Candidates would take their finals early and check out of school early to attend.
ATR, a Hamilton-based Technical Writing Firm is sponsoring their third annual Art Contest! This year’s theme is “Bitterroot Valley Nature & Wildlife”.
Total of $3,000 in prizes. Categories are Drawing, Painting, Sculpture--four awards in each category.
Prizes in each category: 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $150, 4th $100. Awesome! Good luck, artists! ATR keeps the 1st Place winning art for their permanent art collection.
Entry deadline is March 31st


High School students, this is a great scholarship opportunity. The 9th Circuit Court is hosting an essay/video contest about Japanese Internment Camps and the current anti-Muslim sentiment occurring in our country.  Here is the link:




If you want more information, Mr. Arvish has several really good books about Japanese and Italian internment during WWII, and would be happy to discuss and share with you.


Due to subzero temps, Mrs. Taylor’s PE classes meet for health today in her room. We will have PE on Wednesday, if it ever warms above zero!


The Lone Rock Community Ski bus will be running
THIS SATURDAY: January 21st
COST:
Bus only: $5
Tickets 12 and under: $23 + 5 for bus = $28
TIcket 13 and up: $28 + 5 for bus = $33


Schedule: Leaves Lone Rock at 7:25am.  Leaves Cowboy Troy's at 7:50am.  Leaves LT at 4:15pm


Flier and release form (only needed one time per season) available from the Victor School office.
