Entrance Music:

It is “Modern Monday”

Monday, March 12, 2018
This Week’s Theme is
Sense of Accomplishment:

How’s this for inspiration?

Pretty awesome! Two thumbs up!
For our purposes, the “Sense of Accomplishment”
is about personal growth and citizenship
and not about someone who is already
good at something.
Keep working to improve yourself
and to change and grow for the better!
No one can do it for you, except for you!

This is currently the world’s tallest structure,
the Burj Khalifa, at 2,722 ft (including the antenna).
It has a buttressed tower, which means it has structures
on the outside stabilizing the center core.
It also has to have a very deep foundation
in order to support that height.

In 2020 a new building in the same city will become
the tallest man-made structure in the world.
Here’s a cross-section of the Burj Khalifa Building
on the top row of this chart:
See if you can spot this building in the next video
about an exciting contemporary street artist,
Marwan Shakarchi, who is putting his mark on a modern city.
He made the decision to DO MORE.

Dubai, also known as “Vertical City”, is in the United Arab Emirates.
