This Week’s Theme is
Sense of Accomplishment:
Speaking of teachers and student achievement,
sometimes teachers can help students
get outside themselves and
aspire to better things.
Here’s an overview of story
based on a real person, Pierre Dulaine,
a ballroom dance teacher who taught
inner-city kids in New York City.
It stars the Spanish actor, Antonio Banderas.
(Note to Mrs. Montague, only!
I know you wanna see Antonio Banderas,
but please skip to the next video
--it is about 5th graders).

You can spot the real Pierre Dulaine who was the inspiration for “Take the Lead”
in this trailer for a Middle School dance competition called, Mad Hot Ballroom

Here are a few pirates who showed
confidence to take action,
and now have a real
Sense of accomplishment:

And this student should also have a real
Sense of accomplishment.
